Fochabers Cricket Club

The NoSCA Executive Committee has been informed by Fochabers Cricket Club that they are unable to continue with their side in the NoSCA Senior League in 2017.

The situation was discussed at the committee meeting in Nairn last night (Monday 11th May) and it has been agreed that all their remaining fixtures in the Senior League, Senior Cup and T20 competitions will be removed from the schedule. Furthermore, the games already completed (including two scratched League fixtures) have been declared null and void.

For the avoidance of doubt, the individual performances in the one game played on the opening day of the season will NOT count in the averages for 2017.

An updated League table is now on the NoSCA website.

The NoSCA Executive are pleased to note that Fochabers CC remain committed to the Reserve League program and we look forward to working with the officials at Fochabers with a view to them returning to the Senior League in the future. In the meantime Fochabers CC players are free to transfer to another Senior League club for the rest of the season under the conditions outlined in the NoSCA Player Registration Directive or remain at Fochabers and play in the Reserve competitions (with normal LPL restrictions applying).
